Haflong, June 9, 2022 : The local MLA of 16-Haflong (ST) LAC Mrs. Nandita Gorlosa took an oath as minister along with Jayanta Malla Baruah before the Governor of Assam Prof. Jagdish Mukhi at 3PM on June 9 at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra International auditorium, Guwahati.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by the Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, along with his council of ministerial, MPs, MLAs, officials and others.
After the ceremony, the Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, writes in social media Yesterday at 4:18 pm.
He said, “Today, His Excellency Governor Professor Jagdish Mukhi gave oath speech to Honorable MLA Mrs. Nandita Garlosa and Honorable MP Sri Jayantamalla Baruah as a member of Assam Cabinet at Srimanta Sankardev International Auditorium. Feeling very happy to be present in this oath taking ceremony. With enthusiasm, concentration and serious service, both the ministers will be successful in the overall development and development of the state”.
“High ranking officials and dignitaries of state administration were present in the event along with fellow ministers and MLAs, Hon’ble Chief Secretary Srijishnu Barua”, he added.
With this induction of the two MLA as ministers, the Chief Minister has expanded the strength of his Council of Ministers to 16.
Accordingly, the Chief Minister also reshuffled portfolios of his Council of Ministers.
Minister Nandita Garlosa is allotted the portfolios of (a) Power Department, (b) Cooperation Department, (c) Mines and Minerals Department and (d)Indigenous & Tribal Faith and Cultural Department.
Whereas, Jayanta Malla Baruah is given (a) Public Health Engineering Department, (b) Skill Employment & Entrepreneurship Department and (c) Tourism Department.
