Inaugural Launch of Summer Vacation Workshop, at Maibang

 

Maibang, July 15, 2026: The Department of Cultural Affairs today inaugurated the Summer Vacation Workshop, 2026–27 at PM Shri Maibang Higher Secondary School. The programme was formally launched in the presence of distinguished guests and enthusiastic student participants.

During the inaugural session, Shri Goutom Bodo, Cultural Development Officer (i/c), explained the modalities of the 15-day workshop. He highlighted that practical courses in Yoga, Drama, Singing, Painting, Dance, and other art forms will be conducted by Basic Society, an NGO from Mahur.

The event began with vibrant cultural performances, followed by a yoga programme in which students actively participated. The workshop aims to nurture young minds by encouraging them to engage in extracurricular activities beyond routine academics, instilling creativity, discipline, and appreciation for diverse art forms.

The inaugural programme was graced by Shri Rijit Kachari, SDIPRO Maibang, Smti Sujala Bodo, Principal, PM Shri Maibang Higher Secondary School, along with faculty members, cultural representatives, and students.
