Orunodoi 3.0 launched in Dima Hasao along with the rest of the state: 28,664 Beneficiaries Covered in Dima Hasao District

Haflong, 1st August: Chief Minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, formally launched the third edition of the state’s flagship welfare initiative, Orunodoi 3.0, during a central ceremony in Guwahati. The scheme will extend monthly financial assistance to more than 37 lakh eligible women across Assam, driving grassroots women empowerment and socio-economic support.

​Addressing the central gathering in Guwahati, Chief Minister Dr. Sarma emphasized that Orunodoi 3.0 aims to ensure financial assistance reaches beneficiaries through a more streamlined, secure, and transparent Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mechanism. To eliminate discrepancies and ensure seamless transactions, Aadhaar-based verification has been fully integrated into the disbursement process.

​In Dima Hasao to mark the statewide rollout, ceremonial events were conducted simultaneously across the Autonomous Council constituencies in Dima Hasao. In Haflong Executive Member (EM) Donphainon Thaosen attended and addressed the main district-level gathering held at District Library Auditorium Haflong. Whereas, NCHAC Chief Executive Member (CEM) Debolal Gorlosa attended the local launch event of Orunodoi 3.0 at Choto Wapu within the Hadingma constituency. Chairman of the North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC) presided over the launching event in Maibang West Constituency. ​Other VIPs and public representatives attended events organized across all remaining MAC constituencies in the district.

Direct fund disbursements amount of ₹1,100 was credited successfully initiated for 28,664 eligible beneficiaries in Dima Hasao. A flood relief contribution sum of ₹150 per beneficiary was contributed towards humanitarian relief funds for flood-affected areas in Assam.

​Speaking at the Haflong gathering, Executive Member Donphainon Thaosen highlighted the transformative potential of the initiative He said,​"Orunodoi 3.0 is a vital stepping stone toward empowering women across our district. Beyond direct financial aid, this scheme unlocks multiple facilities and formal financial channels—including easier access to micro-loans and institutional credit—enabling women to achieve self reliance.”
