Haflong 23^thJan, 2025:In a significant step towards commitment to serve the common people espthyouth of the district, DebolalGorlosaChief Executive Member of North Cachar Hills Autonomous, today handed over 33 numbers of appointment letters to the best football players in Dima Hasao.

                The ceremonial distribution was done at SengyaSambudhanPhongloMalaoyam field in Haflong marking the first ever official programme organized at the newly inaugurated playground in Haflong. The appointment as detailed are 28 best footballers from the inter-polling football tournament, 3 best players from the MAC cup and 2 best players from the CEM’s cup, all matches previously played within the district of Dima Hasao.

CEM DebolalGorlosa in his speech said that this is an initiative to strengthen sports at the grassroot level and inspire younger generation to take up sports and to keep them away from other bad influences that curtail their health as well as mental state. It has been a constant effort on behalf of CEM Gorlosa to inspire the youth of Dima Hasaoto keep the youth away from activities and menace of drugs and alcoholism.

As part of the programme, a friendly football match between CEM's XI and Chairman’s XI was also organised by the District Sports & Youth Welfare Department and G.A.D at SengyaSambhudhanPhongloMlaoyam, Haflong.

The ceremonial distribution of appointment letters was also attended by Chairman NCHAC MohetHojai, Deputy Chairman NCHAC Amin Leinthang, Dima HasaoVice Chairman ofDistrict planning Board & MAC Dhriti Thaosen, EMs ProbitaJohori, Samuel Changsan, Niranjan Hojai, PaudamingNriame, Manjit Naiding, Biswajit Daulagupu, Zosumthang Hmar, MACs MonjoyLangthasa, Rupali Langthasa, Ratan Jarambusa, ProjithHojai, Lalremsiama Darnei, Herojit Jidung, Noah Daime, John Phoitong,Ramgalungbe Jeme,PronathRajiyung, CDC Chairmen of different constituency and other guests.
