MP Gogoi Grace Fund Raising Concert for Victims of Nepal Earth Quake at Haflong With a Theme ‘Help Us to Help Humanity’



  Haflong, June 6:- With an aim to extend help toward providing relief material, the authority of N.C.Hills Autonomous Council held a grand fund raising cultural events/concert for the earth quake victims of Nepal in association with all Apex Bodies, NGOs and others at the N.L.Daulagup Sports Complex, Haflong on the 5th and 6th June 2015.
The evening programme on 5th June was marked with performance of different colourful traditional dances by almost all the various communities of the district. Besides, some Musical Bands and artists both local and outside the district presented thrilling Concerts,etc.
The Cultural programme was graced by MP (LS) Gaurav Gogoi as the Chief Guest while the Chief Executive Member of NCHAC Debojeet Thaosen attended the programme as the Chief Host.

Speaking on the occasion, the MP Gaurav Gogoi lauded the initiative taken by the Council under the leadership of CEM Debojeet Thaosen for organizing such an event for a noble gesture.
He also assured the gathering that he would raise the voice of the Hill District in the Parliament, along with the voice of the people of his own Parliamentary Constituency.
Earlier, the CEM Debojeet Thaosen, in his address, welcome the Chief Guest and said the programme was organized with the Theme “HELP US TO HELP HUMANITY” to extend help to the victims of recent earthquake in Nepal. He also encouraged all for extending help to such victims of natural calamities with sympathetic heart in cash and kind.
The CEM also informed the gathering that all the fund raised in the event would be donated for the earthquake victims and hope it will be of some help and a console to them.
The programme was also attended by the NCHAC Chairman, Executive Members, MAC’s, Deputy Commissioner, Principal Secretary and other Officials and a large number of general public attended the programme. One minute silence was also observed in the evening for the earthquake victims of Nepal in which more than ten thousand people lost their lives and several thousand injured.
